With a breadth of experience in business, state and local government, economics and human rights advocacy, Charles Henderson has quickly become one of Salt Lake’s most dynamic community leaders. In a time where strong principled leadership is needed, Charles has stepped to the plate for both his local community and state government. Charles proudly serves as Vice-chair of the Kearns Community Council. During his tenure, Charles has worked continuously to improve the Social, Economic, and Political needs of our ever increasingly diverse community.
Charles, a Native Utahan, has used his education and business knowledge as Chair of both the Kearns Community Councils Financial Oversight Committee and Chair of the Kearns Community Councils Economic Development and Education Committees.
Public service and politics are a passion for Charles Henderson. His dedication to Humanitarian Service and Progressive Politics include working on the Utah Coalition of Organ, Eye and Tissue Donations Board, the Martin Luther King Jr. Human Rights Commission, and Salt Lake County’s Council on Diversity Affairs.
Charles currently resides in Kearns where he can be seen taking evening walks with his wife Yolonda and their son and daughter, Charles and Aaliyah.
